Ozark Highlands Trail

Jump to: navigation, search

The Ozark Highlands Trail (OHT) is one of the most spectacular hiking trails in the United States. This cross-country route in northwest Arkansas stretches 165 miles from Lake Fort Smith State Park, across the Ozark National Forest, to the Buffalo National River.

It was recently featured in the October 2008 edition of National Geographic.

Due to the January 2009 ice storms, the OHT has been closed. Check the Ozark Highlands Trail Association webpage or the Ozark National Forest webpage for updates.
