Panama is the narrowest place in the American Continent. It offers the opportunity to walk from ocean to ocean in a weekend if you are willing to fastpack. It offers great historical trails like the Camino Real, the first transcontinental trail in America. Soon the TransPanama trail, an East to West Long Distance Footpath, will be published, offering the possibility of hiking to Costa Rica from the city of Panama.
