- Libre Map Project
- Acme Mapper provides a USGS topographic map layer and additional images to Google Maps. Mapper also allows users to place markers on the map and label them. Markers can be saved by bookmarking or emailing the link after clicking the "Link to this page" button.
- Everytrail is a collection of community submitted GPS tracks and tip reports that display the GPS track and any geotagged photos on a small Google map. Tracks can be downloaded in GPX and KML (Google Earth) formats. Users can also draw routes by using sattelite imagery and USGS topo maps for trip planning.
- Geoportail French public site that provides maps for France and its oversea department. A the lowest level the IGN maps are avalaible with GR paths for example (IGN maps are reference for hikking maps). Based on that is quite easy to capture it in bpm format and aggregate it for a specific hike.
